Paralegal
Location: Stockport
Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 DOE
Are you an experienced Personal Injury professional looking for your next move?
An established legal team in Stockport is looking to bring on a Paralegal to manage a varied caseload of claims, with the opportunity to take ownership of cases and play a key role in delivering positive outcomes for clients.
This opportunity would suit a Solicitor, FILEX, Paralegal or experienced legal professional with at least two years\' experience handling personal injury claims, who is confident progressing matters under supervision.
The Role
You will manage a caseload of personal injury claims from initial instruction through to settlement or litigation, ensuring cases progress efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a caseload of personal injury claims, including RTA and MOJ matters.
- Take initial instructions, advise clients and maintain regular communication throughout the claims process.
- Investigate liability, review medical evidence and assess general and special damages.
- Negotiate settlements with insurers and third parties to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Prepare litigation documents, instruct counsel and assist with court proceedings where required.
- Monitor case progression using case management systems, ideally Proclaim.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, Civil Procedure Rules and internal procedures.
About You
- At least two years\' experience handling personal injury claims.
- Experience with RTA and MOJ claims; knowledge of Part 7 matters would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with litigation procedures and personal injury case management systems, ideally Proclaim.
- Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- A client-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and progress cases effectively.
- A Solicitor, FILEX, Paralegal or equivalent legal professional comfortable conducting work under supervision.
