Junior Paraplanner
Chester-le-Street
Up to £35,000 DOE
Hybrid Working After Probation
NJR Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established Financial Planning firm who are looking to recruit a Junior Paraplanner to join their growing team in Chester-le-Street
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced or junior Paraplanner looking to take the next step in their career and develop their technical paraplanning skills within a supportive team environment
You will work as part of a pooled paraplanning function, supporting a team of Financial Advisers and gaining exposure to a broad range of financial planning cases
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
\" Supporting Financial Advisers with the preparation of client cases
\" Preparing suitability letters and reports
\" Reviewing and assimilating information gathered by Advisers
\" Liaising with Advisers and clients to obtain any outstanding information
\" Gathering information from product providers and third parties
\" Ensuring client documentation is accurate, complete and compliant
\" Maintaining accurate client records and updating relevant systems
\" Assisting with research and financial planning analysis
\" Working with established processes and checklists to maintain quality
\" Liaising with administrators and other members of the team to ensure cases progress smoothly
\" Keeping up to date with regulatory and legislative changes
\" Supporting the wider paraplanning team as required
About You
We\'re looking for someone with experience within Financial Services with previous paraplanning experience.
You will ideally have:
\" Previous experience within an IFA or Wealth Management environment
\" Some experience of paraplanning or producing client documentation
\" Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
\" Good analytical and numerical ability
\" The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
\" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
\" Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
\" A professional and client-focused approach
\" The ability to work independently while being a strong team player
CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent would be advantageous, although the firm is also happy to consider someone who is working towards their qualification or has a genuine desire to progress towards Diploma/Chartered status.
