NJR Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly respected and growing Financial Planning firm that is looking to recruit an experienced Practice & Business Operations Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive and commercially minded professional to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of a successful business.
Working closely with the Financial Planning Director, you will act as the operational hub of the business, ensuring people, processes and priorities are aligned to deliver exceptional client outcomes. This is a varied and rewarding position where you\'ll have the autonomy to drive operational excellence, lead a small team and help shape the future direction of the business.
The Role
As Practice & Business Operations Manager, you will oversee the smooth running of the business, coordinating operations, leading projects, improving processes and ensuring the team has the support and structure needed to succeed.
Key responsibilities include:
\" Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the practice across all departments.
\" Leading, motivating and developing the operational and client support team.
\" Managing workflow, capacity planning and operational performance.
\" Building strong relationships with external providers, including compliance, IT, marketing and outsourced support.
\" Producing management information, KPI reports and operational dashboards.
\" Driving business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, profitability and client experience.
\" Supporting business planning, forecasting and operational objectives.
\" Overseeing compliance activity, governance processes and regulatory action plans.
\" Implementing new systems, processes and best practice across the business.
\" Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews and team development.
\" Acting as the key operational contact, ensuring strategic plans are successfully delivered.
About You
The successful candidate will be a confident organiser who enjoys bringing structure, accountability and continuous improvement to a growing business.
You will ideally have:
\" Previous experience managing business operations, projects and teams.
\" Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
\" Strong leadership and people management experience.
\" Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
\" A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
\" Strong Microsoft 365 and general IT skills.
\" The ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of operational delivery.
Experience within Financial Planning, Wealth Management or another regulated professional services environment would be highly advantageous, along with knowledge of back-office systems such as Intelliflo and an understanding of FCA regulations.
