My client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical / Quality Manager to join their team. Candidates will have a background in electricals, SDA's, MDA's or similar.

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all products we bring to market are safe, fit for purpose and are of excellent Quality, meeting both internal & external customer requirements.
To advise on product Quality Improvements & cost saving suggestions and following these through to implementation with OEM manufacturers.
Implementation of the product development launch pipeline, following the Technical processes required, for right-first-time and on-time product delivery/launch.
To meet all legal compliance standards required and constantly meet customer expectations in relation to the Quality of our products.
To monitor and advise on product performance in the market by reviewing/assessing product returns and customer feedback. Work with Refurbishment team to ensure any return trends are identified and corrective actions implemented.
Investigation and satisfactory resolution of customer complaints, in a timely fashion.
Monitoring & reporting on supplier performance against a set of defined criteria, to aid supplier selection and ongoing performance measurement, manage systems including Share point and SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request) database, also review the implementation of PAD's for all new products into the Mark place (Product Audit Documents).

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Ability to communicate clearly with field based teams (China) & to support & direct them in delivering against our Technical & Quality requirements.
Experienced in working with 3rd party testing & inspection agencies (UK and abroad)
To give direction & instruction to OEM manufacturing suppliers - to articulate our requirements.
Able to appraise, test and report on the build quality, performance and safety of the design of products that the business intends to import
Familiar with the framework of international safety standards that are applicable to the products you are required to assess (LVD, EMC, ErP, RoHS, Reach, CE marking, etc.).
Ability to interpret safety standards requirements and to ensure our products are compliant with these.
To support the development and operation of quality control systems.
To review and approve pre-shipment inspection reports.
To review and approve factory audit & assessment reports.

The successful candidate will be an experienced QA / Technical Manager from either a retailer or supplier background. Knowledge of electricals, SDA's, MDA's or similar is essential.
