Paraplanning Manager
Manchester based
Hybrid Working (2 Days WFH)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanning Manager to join a growing and ambitious financial planning business. This is a key leadership role within the organisation, offering the chance to shape and develop a high-performing paraplanning function while supporting the wider growth of the business.
This position would suit an experienced paraplanner with leadership experience, or a senior paraplanner ready to step into a management role, who is passionate about developing people, improving processes and delivering high-quality technical support to advisers.
The Role
As Paraplanning Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the paraplanning team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant and timely support to advisers and clients.
You will act as a technical point of reference for complex cases, lead training and development initiatives, and work closely with senior stakeholders to enhance team performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
o Manage and support a team of paraplanners on a day-to-day basis
o Identify training and development needs across the team
o Create and implement development plans to enhance technical capability
o Support recruitment and onboarding of paraplanning staff
o Lead by example and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Technical Oversight
o Act as a subject matter expert across all paraplanning functions
o Provide guidance on complex and advanced technical queries
o Ensure case work is completed accurately, compliantly and within agreed timescales
o Support advisers with technical case preparation and planning strategies
Process Improvement
o Review and improve paraplanning workflows and operational processes
o Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and service quality
o Work alongside senior leadership to support wider business growth and objectives
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the department
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:
o Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum
o Significant paraplanning experience within financial planning/wealth management
o Previous management or team leadership experience, ideally within paraplanning
o Strong knowledge of the UK financial advice and regulatory environment
o Experience supporting a range of client types and case complexities
o Excellent technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
o Strong communication and leadership skills
o A process-driven mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
