DESCRIPTION
An established commercial insurance brokerage is seeking a New Business Account Executive to drive growth across its Commercial and Corporate client base. This is a key role within the business, focused on building and developing a portfolio of clients while delivering tailored insurance solutions across a range of sectors.
You will take ownership of the full client lifecycle, from generating and converting new business opportunities through to ongoing servicing and relationship management. You\'ll be supported by an experienced team of Commercial Account Handlers, with additional support for personal lines business where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and convert new business opportunities through own network, existing relationships, and internal lead sources.
- Build and manage a portfolio of clients, including servicing, renewals, and ongoing relationship development.
- Meet clients to understand their requirements and present tailored insurance solutions.
- Negotiate with insurers to secure competitive and appropriate terms.
- Support clients with claims queries and overall account management.
- Work closely with Account Handlers to ensure a seamless service experience.
- Contribute to wider team activity, including supporting colleagues where required.
- Ensure all activity is compliant with FCA and internal regulatory standards.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience within Commercial Insurance, ideally in a New Business or Development Account Executive role.
- Strong knowledge of the UK general insurance market.
- Proven track record of generating and converting new business.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Existing client relationships or a transferable book of business is highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and target focused.
- Acturis experience preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
