Paraplanner
Location: Burnley Area
Salary: Up to £40,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days WFH, 3 days office-based
Parking: Free onsite parking

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Level 4 Paraplanner to join a growing Financial Planning Support Team based in the Burnley area. Working closely with Financial Planners, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, compliant and client-focused financial planning service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Paraplanner who enjoys technical research, detailed report writing and collaborating with advisers in a supportive, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed suitability reports and client review reports across pensions, investments, protection and retirement planning
2. Undertake technical research to support appropriate and compliant advice recommendations
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records on back-office systems, including Intelligent Office
4. Ensure all documentation meets FCA and internal compliance requirements
5. Liaise with product providers and third parties to obtain information for reports and recommendations
6. Participate in team meetings, highlighting issues and taking ownership of agreed actions

Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential
1. Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4)
2. Minimum 2 years' experience working as a Paraplanner
3. Strong experience producing suitability and review reports across multiple advice types
4. Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
5. Strong organisational and time management skills
6. Good working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance requirements
Desirable
1. Experience using cashflow modelling software
2. Experience working within an independent financial advice firm

Personal Attributes
1. High professional integrity and commitment to quality
2. Confident communicator, both written and verbal
3. Collaborative team player who works well within structured processes
4. Flexible, proactive and committed to continuous improvement

Working Arrangements
1. Office-based during probation (3 months)
2. Hybrid working thereafter: 2 days from home, 3 days in the office

1. 25 days annual leave (increasing with length of service)
